tomorrow i leave for watershed! i’m really excited to spend two weeks working with new people, and good friends. i’m ready for new experiences. i’ve spent three weeks at my summer internship but now it’s time for a two week break. my internship has been awesome! i do a lot of little random things but i’m learning so much. i’ve been to first friday meetings and i’m learning about how to engage the public with local artists. i’m learning how a studio works, watching from within to see how the community within the studio functions. i can tell it’s so much work, there are so many smalls things, and big things to worry about. it all comes along in the end though. the community of potters within the studio i’m at are all so wonderful. i can’t wait to go to watershed and come back and work at the studio and make my own work. it feels good to be learning and doing so much.
